Portraits of Two Fabulous Felines

I have been busy in the studio, and I wanted to share my newest creations with you!
Recently, I had the opportunity to paint the portraits of two fabulous felines, Beauregard (above) and Freya (below). These are my latest Premiere Contemporary Custom Pet Portrait Paintings.

These two cats belong to the same extended family as Kiernan the German Shepard dog, and Finnegan the Cat, who were featured in a previous newsletter.
Freya and Beauregard had to get their portraits painted as well, because, really, would you want these two felines feeling left out?

A student of mine suggested that I paint a picture of a cat and a cookie jar, so I made the painting of my cat Okey. This is classic Okey - eying new things with equal parts desire and suspicion.
Okey was my very special cat whom I rescued from the streets of downtown Canton, OH in 2010. She was an extremely anxious cat, but she grew to trust me in her own ways over time. Sadly, I lost her to cancer right before the holidays of this past year. I miss her very much.
I have painted many pictures of her through the years. I never get tired of painting her. The paintings are healing for me, as they remind me of the joy she brought me in the relatively short time that we had together.
