Energy Aggregation Program Update - Mendham Township has joined a Community Energy Aggregation Program to provide lower energy costs to residents, compared to what is charged by JCP&L. We have joined the Hunterdon Energy Cooperative along with several other communities. IDT Energy was selected through an auction process.

In addition to lower energy costs, the program offers homeowners the following benefits:

  • A flat rate from month to month.
  • The ability to leave the program at any time.
  • No penalties or fees to leave the program.
This program allows Mendham Township to maximize buying power to obtain better rates for residents. Other than enjoying a reduced rate for energy costs, nothing else has changed.

Residents should still contact JCP&L to report an outage. JCP&L will continue to provide emergency and safety services, service restoration, meter reading and billing.

Giving Back
Join Ralston Fire Company - The Ralston Engine Co. #1 has received a new 2019 Pierce PUC engine to replace a 1992 unit that served the community well but was well-past its fire service life. This project took three years in the planning, research and construction of the unit. Members are actively working on outfitting the new engine and training in its operations. The Company is totally volunteer and has served the Township since 1942. The Company is looking for new members to volunteer in protecting the community. Anyone interested, should contact Gary Russell at 973-476-4430.
