Meet the Locals

eyes on floyd

The creative mind is truly fascinating. The ability to introduce new and refreshing ideas opens the floodgates to a world of endless possibility. Psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi suggested that "of all human activities, creativity comes closest to providing the fulfillment we all hope to get in our lives.”

Born and raised in Paris, Wendy Trinet realised from a tender age that a career in the fashion industry would be her destiny. Inspired by a city overflown with culture, art, beauty and history, Wendy’s great Grandmother was a leading stylist in France. Dresses passed down to her loving care, lay the foundations for the creative journey forward.

After attending a fashion design school in London and later falling in love with her Australian born husband, Wendy now lives in the picturesque tree-lined streets of Camberwell.  For the past ten years, she has worked as a designer and buyer for large Australian retailers. Throughout this time, the desire to one day have her own label remained firm. “In 2017 I decided to take a chance and live my dream,” said Wendy.

“Proudly a home-based boutique business, eyes on floyd is named after my dear son Floyd.  The label embraces the history of all that truly inspires me.  Designed and made with love for the woman who loves relaxed feminine pieces, romantic, boho chic, with a touch of France. I love using lace, broderie anglaise, embroidery, crochet and the range is like my favourite wardrobe brought to life. My brand combines the best of Vintage Parisian chic and French Riviera style with effortless beautiful pieces.”

eyes on floyd celebrates a lifelong creative dream and is respectfully inspired by mother nature.  All pieces are intriguing by design and made with utmost attention to quality.  The brand is full of little treasures just waiting to be discovered.  When you find that special pieces that resonates with you, your natural beauty can expect to shine.
