Winter Camps
We had two amazing weekends of Winter Camp in February. All together we had 141 campers, five of them indicated that they have made a decision to accept Christ and 20 of them dedicated their lives to God. Below is the testimony of one of our campers, Szabi.
“There were a lot of things in my life I felt I needed to lay down before God. I did not know whether I had been truly saved. I wanted there to be a point in time that I could look back on and say that I repented. Alex’s teachings really touched me and watching the little videos he showed, I understood a little of what Christ’s suffering might have been like, and how much he was willing to do for us. I believe with all my heart that He exists and is constantly bringing change into my life!”
Our camp team is already preparing for our volunteer training weekends that will be held in April. We are excited to have in attendance all those who would like to serve in our camps. Please pray for a dedicated team for this summer, and that God would provide workers for every area of ministry.
School Evangelism
On February 26, we had our 6th school evangelism of this academic year. At this event we were able to meet with almost 600 students and teachers, sharing the hope of the Gospel. During this morning event our Sing Team lead a time of worship, our Children's Ministry Team provided a puppet show for the youngest children, and we had the opportunity to have both small group discussions and a large group chapel time. Although we don't know of any specific decisions made for the Lord, we are thankful that we had the opportunity to share the message of the Gospel with so many.
Camp Scholarships
We want to make sure that all who want to come to camp will eventually do so, regardless of their families' financial situation. We want every child and teenager to have a chance to clearly hear the Gospel. This year, one week of camp will cost $180. Unfortunately, for many Hungarian families, this amount, even if they only have one child, is unthinkable. For this reason, we provide camp scholarships each year. We are thankful to God for providing the needed amount year after year. Would you please be so kind to prayerfully consider a one-time donation to help these young people have the opportunity to attend camp?

Gifts may be sent to:

Satellite Camps
As we look forward to this summer, we are excited for another year of Satellite Camps. We currently have 3 week-long camps scheduled, in which US volunteers provide help. We also have a number of three-day camps which will be operated by Word of Life staff and student volunteers. These camps are great opportunities to reach young people with the gospel and get them connected with the local church.
We are still looking for 3-4 more US volunteers to help with our camp the week of July 13-17. If you have the interest and availability to help with this camp, we would love to hear from you!
