Your combined support of these amazing, adventurous humans has raised more than $5000 for OurBrainBank.
"We had an incredible time, with lots of ups and downs. It was as much a mental challenge as a physical one. Camping in extreme weather in 4 different climates ranging from highs of 30 degree to lows of - 25 degrees, limited diet, altitude sickness with headaches and nausea and hardly any sleep all took it’s toll on our mind and body, and don’t even get me started on the toilets!
However, without those challenges it wouldn’t have been what it was, a truly life changing and humbling experience. We saw the most dramatic landscapes we have ever seen, from the rainforest trials to the moorland meadows, the sparse alpine deserts to harsh snow capped peak of Uhuruo. We also met some of the kindest people we’ve ever come across. Our crew of 15 included porters, a chef and our two knowledgable guides with the biggest smiles in the world. Their strength and spirit reminded me of my Aunty Jessica, as at our lowest moments they would say to to us ‘never give up’ which without a doubt got us to the summit.
