It's not too late to join us Sunday!

Fun Fact: This is all volunteer/student-driven with 100% of efforts and proceeds going straight to Hogg (no cuts to race organizers)! (We can accept donations the day of the event, but it would be easier to donate by clicking here right now!)

This Sunday is the day! We are so excited! The kids have done a great job fundraising so far, and we are still accepting donations! Below is the Sunday afternoon agenda, and we ask your patience as we are not professional race organizers doing this for the first time without the same timing and race equipment.
  • 1:00 pm - Registration opens
  • 1:30 pm - National Anthem, speech and competitive race starts
  • 2:30 pm - Cheerleader performance
  • 2:45 pm - Just for Fun Groups start
  • 3:00 pm - Dance team performance
  • 3:30 pm - Awards
  • 4:00 pm - Clean up (the more, the merrier!)
We might have to adjust the schedule the day of the event. We will make announcements to help everyone stay on track.

Don’t forget to bring a picnic blanket or some chairs to sit on.

Both school parking lots will be open and you can access the field through the open gates by the parking lots. Please be mindful when parking on the street and avoid the church and 2nd Cup parking lot.

We love our volunteers - especially this Sunday!

Click here to help with the race logistics.

We are also encouraging everyone to bring some food items to share. Something like sandwiches, salads, muffins, etc. Click here to register the Food Items you plan to bring and share!

Your Nom Com Invites You!

Would you like to find out more about what we do? (And how to possibly get involved?)
Please join us on Wednesday, March 11 at 8 am or 7 pm for gatherings in the homes of our Nom Com committee members, Kathi Peters (a.m.) and Andrea Dulany (p.m.). Come and connect with other parents and your PTA to find out more about how you might be involved. We promise NO PRESSURE --just information. We want to connect with you! Details on the Hogg PTA FB Events or on the Events page of our website.
If you plan to attend, we GREATLY appreciate your RSVP at nomcom@hoggpta.org!
Meet the chairs for the very first Racing for Razorbucks Hogg Fun Run and Tailgate. Both women have worked hard to make this event a success: building community at Hogg and raising money to support our school.

Kathi Peters, Race Chair

Hometown: Neudau, Austria - a tiny town in the middle of nowhere in eastern Austria
Years in Houston: 12 years - with a 2-year break in Fair Oaks, CA
Children:  Four: a 6th grader at Hogg, a 5th grader and 1st grader at Harvard and a 4 year old. All future Razorbacks in the making!
Reason for serving on the PTA: I love the school and community at Hogg. I want to be a good role model for my kids and the kids at school and show them that you can make a difference.
Fun Fact: I have always dreamed of living on a Ranch in Texas…even as a little girl in Austria. When I was in middle school I shaved my head without asking my parents and my dad didn’t talk to me for 2 weeks!
What do you most enjoy about chairing the inaugural year of the Fun Run? The Fun Run has brought me closer to the kids at school. I learned to see the school world through their eyes, and I have learned what motivates them. It makes me happy when after the 100th encounter an 8th grader finally looks me in the eye and says, "Hi." 😉

Jennifer Rivera, Tailgate Chair

Hometown: Houston girl - born and raised!
Years in Houston: All my life
Children:  I have two boys. My oldest son is a 6th grader at Hogg, followed by my youngest he is a 4th grader at River Oaks Elementary.
Reason for serving on the PTA: I love to help and make a difference when I can. I have always been super-involved since my boys started school. It’s a wonderful feeling to volunteer and help out wherever and whenever possible.
Fun Fact: Some fun facts ab out me are that I am super organized (and I can get pretty annoying), and I love to color!
What do you most enjoy about chairing the inaugural year of the Tailgate? I have enjoyed meeting some wonderful ladies Terri and Kathi. It’s been a learning experience for me, but I'd do it again. It's been fun!
