DONATE RAFFLE PRIZES FOR BIKE TO WORK DAY 2020

Attention businesses on Capitol Hill! The BID is seeking raffle prize donations for their Bike to Work Day pit stop on Friday, May 15, 2020. The pit stop will be in place from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. at the Eastern Market Metro Plaza.

The donation can be anything from a $5 gift card to a free lunch or even a small item from your retail store. Over 400 Bike to Work Day participants visited our pit stop last year, including many from neighborhoods outside of Capitol Hill. Donating a prize for our pit stop is a great way to increase exposure for your business.

To donate, or for more information, contact McKenna Pugh at (202)842-3333 ext. 10 or mpugh@capitolhillbid.org

NEWS FROM MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER

Mayor Muriel Bowser has signed a Mayor’s Order outlining the District’s monitoring, preparation, and response to the coronavirus, which is technically named COVID-19, last Friday, February 28. Focusing on prevention, Mayor Bowser outlined important steps all Washingtonians should be taking to stay healthy, a few of which include:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if you have symptoms of acute respiratory illness.
DC Health has confirmed there are no cases of COVID-19 in Washington, DC but it is great to be proactive and keep our community healthy!
