On Feb. 6, 2020, Safe Families for Children in the Greater Milwaukee Area was celebrated during the "There's Room at the Table" Gala.
Princess Lavoe, a served parent, gave a moving testimony and prayer. Nicole Zorn, SFFC-WI Director of Development, told the crowd of her family's legacy of hospitality, and Dave Anderson, Founder and CEO of SFFC National, tearfully shared his gratitude for the resilient parents we serve everyday.

Safe Families Sunday is a day to activate the Church to care for their neighbors in need!
There are a few ways for your church to participate…
- Celebrate the Safe Families volunteers in your church who have created space for vulnerable children and families in crisis. Utilize Safe Families Sunday as an opportunity to appreciate and honor them and to invite others to serve with them
- Cast the vision of Safe Families to your church! During a service, Invite people in your church to create space by volunteering to host children, mentor parents, to support volunteers through coaching or providing resources.
- Support the ministry of Safe Families by receiving a special offering that will allow your local Safe Families chapter to equip volunteers and churches throughout the area to create space for those in need.

Our first Serve Saturday was on February 15 when 8 volunteers from The Ridge Community Church came out to our office to help with several projects. They cleaned up our storage space, cleaned baby items, created Family Coach mobile packs, wrote thank you cards, and even delivered a meal to a host family. Thank you, The Ridge CC!

Our freezer is officially empty of meals for our hosts! Would any of our Safe Families champions be willing to coordinate a freezer meal making party with their friends, family, church, or small group? Our host families would very much appreciate it!
Make sure meals are clearly labeled and include cooking instructions and ingredients on the label. Disposable containers are best.

We have four host family supply closets: Imago Dei (Milwaukee), BCRC (Brookfield), Oakwood (Hartland). and Parkway Church. Please click the links if you'd like to make a donation to one of these closets.
Always looking for: Wal-Mart gift cards (for our host families to buy formula, shoes, etc), Car seats (in good condition, purchased less than 3 years ago), diapers/ pull ups, and wipes.
