Westie PLAYground + Theme of the Month

"BETWEEN THE BEAT" is our Theme of the Month at Westie PLAYgrounds to learn, discuss, and experiment with infusing our creativity into the dance, what to do with our arms/hands, and how to smooth out our movements as we dance from beat-to-beat.

Song of the Month (March) - Vote!

Every month we are picking a song to focus on for the month to help us practice musicality and creativity in our dancing.

Voting for March's song is happening now, ending ... sometime before Friday.

Featuring YOU! (Community Initiative)

I'd like to start a new community initiative that spotlights various members of our community who have been around for a while, have shared their light with our group, and/or have otherwise contributed to the growth of our community in some shape or form.

It will be an opportunity for our community to share our appreciation for an individual, for the club to feature them in content that's shared online, and will give that individual a featurette that that they can share or keep for themselves. ❤️

FB Group Updates & Community Chats

I've been adding new pieces of content to our ANNOUNCEMENTS section in the Facebook group. You can find the announcements HERE or by looking at the menu on the side of the screen on computer, or near the top of the group if on mobile.

This section currently includes ...

• A WELCOME TO THE COMMUNITY post for all new members to the group (and provides a go-to for reviewing core community info/guidelines, etc.)
• THEME OF THE MONTH history throughout the year + since the start of WPG.
• SONG OF THE MONTH history throughout the year.

1. WPG Chat – all chat in this group is intended for WPG and WCS (reminders about the event, discussions on what to practice that week, etc.). Must have attended at least one WPG!
2. Social Chat (fwWestieFesti-vities) – general community chat for sharing WCS things, organizing other dance get-togethers, etc.

Westie Spring Fling 2020

Westie Spring Fling (WSF) is right around the corner. Taking place on April 3rd and 4th in Goshen, IN, GoDance Studio is bringing in not one, not two, but FOUR professional instructors to teach workshops and open the studio for social dancing and fun competitions.
