 Network Digest
- March 2020

Dear <<First Name>>,

Last month we wrapped up the COSN Accelerator Program for 31 local coalitions and celebrated their many achievements. All of the participating coalitions demonstrated improvements in their core infrastructure and performance including decision-making, accountability, transparency and collaboration. Each team presented their reflections on how their coalition has grown over the course of the program, including impacts they have made in safer prescribing, MAT expansion, harm reduction and more.

COSN is launching a 6-month follow-on program, "Accelerator 2.0", in April. Register here for an informational webinar on March 19, 2020 to learn about the application process and various program offerings. The program will offers a number of opportunities that coalitions can apply for including two learning cohorts, TA support for innovation projects, mental health first aid training and certification, and AmeriCorps VISTA assignees. Coalitions who were not part of the previous Accelerator program are welcomed and encouraged to apply.

Last month we also launched the National Overdose Prevention Network (NOPN) to build a wider network for California communities to share with and learn from. Take a look at the video below for an introduction to NOPN and go to www.nopn.org to sign up for future announcements and more videos from the launch event.
Watch Dr. Carmen Nevarez provide an introduction to the new National Overdose Prevention Network (NOPN).

She will share it with San Benito County and other interested coalitions in our network.

COSN Website Resources

We have resources like worksheets and templates available for anyone to use. For example, click here to view a toolkit on strategic planning that we have designed for local coalitions to use.

The California Opioid Safety Network website has a variety of tools, resources, and videos available for you to use. Don't see a resource you think would be useful? Or do you have a resource to share? Send us a message!
