COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information & Resources
With Mental Health in Mind

It's hard to sift through the messages and information coming at us. And dealing with day-to-day changes in our community and many "unknowns" is stressful. Remember that the kind of anxiousness that drives us to study for an exam is helpful, while anxiousness that interferes with our sleep or mental health is not. So consider:
  • Limit your exposure to the news and/or social media. Pay attention to local updates that have an impact on you and what you can to do help protect our community's health and your own.
  • Follow Sonoma County guidelines on social distancing, hand-washing, etc.
  • Find ways to connect with others important to you by phone or email.
  • Follow trusted resources for getting information.
  • If you have questions or are feeling anxious or distressed, call our Warmline (866-960-6264).

Meet Daniel H. Gillison, Jr., NAMI's New CEO

Following a nationwide search, NAMI appointed Daniel H. Gillison, Jr., as its new Chief Executive Officer in January of this year. Gillison brings experience in the mental health movement and in both the nonprofit and public sectors.

Previously, Gillison was the head of the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, and before that a leader at the National Association of Counties. He has also worked for Xerox and divisions within Sprint and Nextel Communications. He succeeds as CEO Angela Kimball, who filled the role as Acting CEO following the departure of Mary Giliberti in April 2019.
