No Parking

Good News on Overnight Parking in NOTL

If you are following the recent NOTL Council activities - there has been real progress on the overnight parking issue - finally!   Councillors approved the removal of the 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. parking prohibition on all town streets at the Feb 10, 2020 meeting.

The ink on the Council Minutes hasn't dried yet so we can't confirm when this will take effect.  We are watching the town website to confirm all the details.
Meanwhile here's the announcement in the Local paper on the parking decision.

VCA Flyers

FlyersWe deliver paper flyers to every home in The Village a couple of times a year. We want to be sure to keep as many residents informed of our activities as not everyone receives our newsletter.
This is the only way to ensure we catch everyone.

However if you are away for an extended period you might not want a flyer stuck in your door until spring.
So we are taking the following steps:
  1. Join our No-Flyer List
    • Send your name and address to Randy Churchill to be added to the NO Flyer list.
  2. If a flyer has been delivered to your house prior to our receiving an email from you, we will return a couple of days after delivering our flyer and remove it, if it’s still there.
    • Please Note that we will not remove flyers or advertising delivered by any third party.

Area Captains needed to assist with VCA membership

mapDo you want to see the VCA membership grow in 2020?  How about volunteering to be a street/area Captain?

Currently almost half the homes in The Village are VCA members.  Since we work for everyone in The Village, we’d like as many resident as possible to support the Association.

Randy Churchill, our Membership Coordinator, is looking for 8-12 volunteers to represent their street or area (depending on how many volunteer).

What we need your to help with:
Deliver a flyer to the homes in your street or area
In April, there will be a membership drive.  Each Captain will be responsible for delivering a flyer to all the homes in his/her area or street.

Follow-up
Assist current VCA members renew prior to the April AGM, and outline benefits of membership to potential members.

Please contact Randy if you can assist. (randmchurchill@gmail.com)

A meeting of all Captains will be held late March/early April.  Flyers will be ready for distribution, and benefits of VCA membership information will be provided.

Thanks!
