March 2020 - Next Step Preview

Dear friends!
We are sending this Next Step Preview to let you know how God is leading us before we announce our news to the greater public because you have been supporting us in prayer and financially. You have been a faithful part of reaching the French-speaking world through literature by supporting the Phillips ministry. We want to thank you by letting you know what God is doing.

This last year, 2019, was certainly different than we would have planned, but we are very grateful for the chance we were given to learn more about what it truly means to abide in Christ. The Holy Spirit living in us gives us an amazing chance to tap into the very strength of God - which is exactly what we need to get through each day victoriously.

God has provided us with a next step
We drove down to Lyon, France on December 12th through the 16th where we were able to visit a ministry opportunity at a Christian publishing house called Éditions Clé. Clé, pronounced "clay", is the French word "key" and stands for Comprendre Les Écritures (Understanding the Scriptures).

They publish many great books by authors like D.A. Carson, Timothy Keller, John Piper and more plus many French authors. They also publish software like the French Bible study software.

With God's clear direction, BLF USA is sending us to serve the ministry at Éditions Clé where Nathan will be the full-time graphic designer. Thank you for your prayers and support! We are so grateful to know where God is directing our path to expand His kingdom.

We are excited to see what God has for us. This new path uses our same skills and passion for French Christian literature in a new location. We hope it will lead us to new opportunities to serve and share Jesus Christ with a new community near Lyon, France.

There are two documents attached below: the BLF Director’s letter and a little history of Éditions Clé. This update will be followed with more information to come but we wanted you know know this much. Let us know if you have questions.

Again, we want to thank you for your faithfulness through our rollercoaster year of furlough and recall. Thank you for your prayers and your support: past, present, and future.

- Please pray for our additional support needs. One difference between where we are and where we’re going is the housing prices.
- Please pray for our plans of moving and integrating into a new ministry, town, and church.
- Please pray for Benjamin’s transition especially since he’s been through a lot of changes already in this last year.
