Animal Save Rescues

The Animal Save Movement is comprised of groups around the world who bear witness to pigs, cows, chickens and other farmed animals en route to slaughter. Our goals are to raise awareness about the plight of farmed animals, to help people become vegan, and to build a mass-based, grassroots animal justice movement.

"When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to him who suffers, and try to help him." —Leo Tolstoy
Cargill is destroying the planet. Our demand is that Cargill urgently switches to a plant-based food company. #PlanetVsCargill

Animal agriculture is a key source of greenhouse gas emissions and the leading source of ocean dead zones, deforestation, mass species extinctions, and excessive water use.

The Climate Save Movement’s mission is to end animal agriculture and to reforest the Earth. Join our Planet V$ Cargill campaign to protest this ecocide and bring about the urgent plant-based revolution.

Animal, Climate and Health Save Movements are organizing a global day of action against Cargill which will take place on March 21!

Bearing witness around the world.

With chapters of the Animal Save Movement in over 60+ countries, activists are taking to the streets to come close to the suffering and bearing witness with the hopes of shining a light on the horrific industries using and exploiting non-human animals every day.

ASIA
Mumbai Animal Save's held a Dairy Awareness Outreach event at a Jain Temple. They report: "People that came close couldn't believe the truth about the dairy industry. They saw how cruel it is and how the cows and buffalos are tortured and artificially inseminated for our increasing demand for milk. Many people were willing to try a vegan diet to avoid all of the sufferings they learned about."
AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

Brisbane Animal Save: "At last night's chicken vigil, we witnessed dozens of dead and dying chickens on the back on the trucks.

We always see some chickens upside down, but last night there were crates where almost all of the chickens were dead or dying."

EUROPE
In SwedenLinköping Animal Save bore witness to cows: "In 2019, 80,510 cows and 87,275 sheep were killed inside HKScan Linköping's gates, making Sweden the deadliest country for both species. We who have the privilege of living today must do everything in our power to fight against the madness of the oppressor norm. Remember that when we suffer, we suffer as equals."
LATIN AMERICA

Medellín Animal Save held a symbolic performance to fight against injustice representing the chains of the oppressed. "People have the right to know what is happening. We organized this action to create radical change in society because as a social justice movement, we seek to affect this system that legalizes violence towards other sentient beings."

NORTH AMERICA

Toronto Fish Save held a 3-hour vigil against Bill 156.

They bore witness to lobsters and crabs and raised awareness about how Ford Government's ag-gag bill affects concerned citizens on their fight against injustice.
Tepic Animal Save bore witness at a slaughterhouse's pen: "The anguish in their eyes was noticeable and they looked dejected and demoralized.

This time almost none of them were curious to approach and preferred to move away when we tried to caress them. A few smelled our hands and then backed away, they seemed to be doubting our intentions."

Moby is already a regular at the Los Angeles Animal Save's vigils.

He wrote: "Why go to a vigil at a slaughterhouse? For me there are many reasons; To bear witness to the unspeakable suffering animals endures at the hands of humans. To build and strengthen the community of activists. But most importantly, for me, to be reminded that animals are not statistics or commodities, they are individuals."
