Together, we walked through the garden with Adam and Eve and rocked in the waves with Noah.
Together, we gazed at the stars with Abraham, followed Moses out of Egypt, and camped in the wilderness with the Israelites.
Together, we journeyed with Joshua into the promised land where we met God's chosen judges.
Together, we danced with David and hung our heads when the Kingdom divided.
Together, we grieved when the Kingdom was conquered and celebrated when the exiles returned to rebuild the temple.
Together, we asked hard questions alongside the prophets, and we entered the 400 years of silence in anticipation.
Journeying together took longer than any of us expected. It took a year and a half to complete the Old Testament. Our journey included detours, roadblocks, and absolutely no shortcuts. Even so, we wouldn't do it any other way because we know that we are better together.
