Important Friday mix in update:   Having experimented with a change of times for the Friday mix in,  we have gauged the feedback and it's clear that we should revert back to the original time of 2.00pm - 4.00pm. This will take effect from 13 March 2020. 

Hitting Wall - please check the court allocation times and adhere to the rules for times to use the hitting wall.

Shaking hands after a match:  It will not currently be deemed discourteous if players opt out of the traditional handshake after a game of tennis until further notice!  There are other options .... racquet tap,  foot or elbow bump or ... bow/curtsey?!  Please see our guidelines for Coronavirus.

The Easter Open Tournament 2020 is open for entries.  This is a grade 3 tournament with junior and senior events.  Please note the closing dates for singles events is Monday 23rd March and doubles events is Tuesday 7th April.

Mix in etiquette:  If you turn up early for the weekly mix ins to warm up,  please ensure you stop at the "official start time" of the session to mix in.  Some players lose out if games are already underway when they turn up on time.  Thank you.

Quiz Night:  Thank you to our new sponsors, Brewin Dolphin.  We are now full so any further sign ups will have to go on a reserved list.

Courtesy Lights - these have now been fixed (along the path behind the courts and the external staircase).

Nobel Jacks Concert 28th March 2020  - Prizedraw for 2 free tickets (TWLTC members).  Paul Dunton is giving away 2 x free tickets to TWLTC members  (choice of standing or seated). Winners to be notified by Paul Dunton via email or telephone, tickets can only be collected upon arrival at the event and are not for resale.

Buddy Hitting:  A couple of our Level 2 coaches are available for "buddy hitting" for just £12 per hour.   If you are interested in a hour's rallying, please call Florence Byers on 07962 625795 or Clark Smith on 07703 772365.

TWLTC Spring Cup:   We have had a very positive response and many entries already to the new Spring Cup Tournament on 15th March - do sign up on Events if you are interested.

Monday morning drills:

We have launched a new Monday Morning Drills with James Charman and Malcolm Hilliar. 
From 9.30am to 11am every Monday during term time members can attend this coach-led drills session.
Each week the theme of the drills is tailored to target specific strokes or tactics for singles and doubles.

Tennis Events Schedule
WINTER LEAGUE FINALS

Congratulations to the following teams for reaching the division finals: 

Mens 5 – home to Canterbury 5 (Sat 21st March)
Mixed 1 – away to TBA (Sat 28th March)
Mixed 4 – away to Gravesham 1 (Sat 28th March)
Mens Vets 1 – home to Bromley LTC 1 (Sunday 29th March)
 
In addition good luck to  Mens 3, Ladies 2 and Mens Vets 2  in their last matches this season - they have a finals' place lined up if they win!   Mens Over 60 midweek will win their league if they win their last match so good luck.

for hire at £5 per hour. A new battery has been fitted so it should be functionning well now. Please put it back on charge when you have finished.

Junior Matchplay 2020:

The competition is open to all Red and Green Ball players - and is a great way to introduce children to competing in tennis tournaments.  To sign up go to www.lta.org.uk/competitions/search.  You will need your British Tennis Membership Number.
