Books, books, books! From books to paint in and books to write, children this week will get expert instruction in bookbinding. Because while beliefs and customs differ, books are universal. At it's origin, the heritage of telling our own unique story begins in the paintings of animals, events, and people that were left in Prehistoric caves. Luckily for us, today there's "carry-along" version known as the book. And this Sunday, kids will find out that books are any-thing but drab! Because "illuminated manuscripts" will come from our own two hands, as we pull out the gold foils; colorful paints; and each learn to make a feather quill pen. Bind with a sturdy cover, and your masterpiece is complete! What you choose to fill the pages of your own story with, is entirely up to you.
