We invite you to read the report on the launching of Faith and Children’s Rights: A Multi-religious Study on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the first-ever global study focusing on the role of religious leaders and religious communities in promoting children’s rights.
The study was developed by Arigatou International with the guidance of the former Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Violence against Children, Ms Marta Santos Pais, and UNICEF, in collaboration with the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) and World Vision International.
The launch of the Study took place on 19 November 2019 in Geneva to honour the 30th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), in collaboration with many partners.
At the event, a distinguished panel of speakers discussed the challenges that children face today and how religious communities, in partnership with governments, UN agencies, and other civil society organizations can better respond; and shared practical ways in which the recommendations of the Study can be brought to religious communities and other partners for implementation at the national, regional and global levels.
