2020 Quarter 2 Training Calendar
Utah's Division of Archives and Records Service is pleased to present the 2020 Quarter 2 training schedule. We plan on releasing a new schedule each quarter so that we can be more flexible in planning throughout the year. If you would like to schedule a training specifically for your team, let us know!
Registration for all trainings will now be done through Eventbrite. Click below, find the training you would like to sign up for, and follow the link in the event description to register. Registration will no longer occur via the Open Records Portal.

State Records Management Committee Update
The following General Retention Schedule updates were approved by the Records Management Committee in February 2020:

High profile civil case files (GRS-2035)
Program and policy development records (GRS-1717)
Sex offender records (GRS-360)

Call for Success Stories
Utah State Archives and Records Service is looking for records management success stories! Has something good resulted from your agency's records management practices? Whether it's saving time finding records or clearing up space on a shared drive, we want to know! Success story submissions may be shared via this newsletter and/or used as examples in future RIM training workshops.

Sunshine Conference
The  Sunshine Conference is not just a day to learn about GRAMA and records access, it is also intended to be a celebration of government transparency and the service that records officers provide! As part of the conference, we will highlight this dedication to transparency through pictures and stories.

Please send pictures of anything that highlights records, records officers, or transparency for your agency. Have a success story? We would love to hear that too
