2020 Census - Help Your Community, Be a Census Taker
|
|
The 2020 Census reporting period is starting soon. Are you interested in supporting your community, being a part of history, and earning competitive wages with a flexible schedule?
There are a number of temporary positions currently available including census takers,recruiting assistants,
|
|
|
office staff and supervisory staff.
Census results are used to determine your representation in Congress, and they help inform how billions of dollars are distributed for hospitals, schools, roads, and more. Help ensure that everyone in your community is counted in the 2020 Census.
Candidates must complete an online job application. The application includes assessment questions about your education, work, and other experience.

Join Mac expert Jon Hartman in this workshop that covers the basic functions of iPhone such as Email, Safari, Calendar, and yes, even making a phone call.

We'll learn the different functions of the camera to take better photos, and helpful tips to get the most out of iPhone, using the latest software, iOS 13. Instructor Jon Hartman is a computer consultant specializing in Apple devices who also teaches classes at the libraries in Mill Valley and Tiburon.

the upcoming Metropolitan Opera performance of Der Fliegende Hollander by Richard Wagner. Guest host Jerry Zientara will present background information about the opera and composer, followed by a plot synopsis that includes a selection of audio and video clips from past performances. Jerry's preview takes place on the Tuesday before the Saturday morning Live in HD simulcast from the Met. All are welcome.

Many people are curious about fasting and either don't know where to start or if they are doing it right. Join author and Ayurvedic practitioner Heather Grzych to learn the physiological, psychological, and spiritual benefits of fasting, as well as the potential risks to look out for, so that you can develop your own best practice.

This special Frida Kahlo exhibition paints an intimate portrait of the artist through a trove of personal artwork and other items from the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City. It features her vibrant Tehuana costumes, paintings, photographs, drawings, and jewelry. On exhibit from March 21 through July 26.

THIS WEEK: As Black History Month comes to a close and Women's History Month begins, it's the perfect time to remember that neither race nor gender exist in a vacuum. These nonfiction reads provide perspectives from Black American women throughout time. Some are historical, some are hysterical, and all are thought-provoking reads for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or nationality.
