HMMH made a lengthy presentation CONFIRMING the following:
  • The flights moved south post-Metroplex.
  • The flight paths are significantly concentrated compared to pre-metroplex flight tracks.
  • The increase in noise impacts is validated by the 500% increase in the number of complainers for BUR and 700% increase for VNY.
  • Airlines use an unpublished RNAV procedure for arrivals through the Santa Monica Mountains during windy conditions, and the FAA does not object to it.
  • FAA could solve the southern movement of aircraft by hiring more Air Traffic Controllers and through more ATC training!
