Hello <<First Name>>,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Concord Academy! We are very excited at the prospect of having you join our community. As you know, CA has much to offer its students both in and outside of the classroom. We celebrate active learning and take pride in developing the whole student. Through a broad spectrum of athletic offerings, we can meet almost any interest with opportunity.

Through these opportunities, whether they take place on a baseball diamond or a squash court, the CA athletics program cultivates physical, mental, and emotional skills, helping students to develop their sense of teamwork, achievement, balance, and integrity. Our interscholastic teams strive for excellence and have enjoyed much success over the years. Here are some highlights from recent seasons:
  • The girls Alpine skiing team secured the 2020 Central Massachusetts Ski League (CMSL) championship and a second-place finish at New Englands.
  • The boys cross-country won the 2019 Eastern Independent League (EIL) and NEPSAC championship on its way to an undefeated season.
  • The boys varsity soccer team won the 2017 and 2019 EIL championships, as well as the 2019 NEPSAC championship.
  • The girls varsity tennis team won the 2018 EIL championship and earned the NEPSAC runner-up trophy in 2018 and 2019.
  • The girls varsity squash team won the 2017 New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) championship.
  • The girls varsity volleyball team won the 2017 EIL championship.

Successes such as these are not a result of a win-at-all-costs mindset. Instead, CA's athletic philosophy is grounded in a team environment where balancing competitiveness with compassion for others will always succeed. Our student-athletes strive for excellence in the classroom and bring the same motivation to the fields and courts in a way that enhances the academic experience, strengthens the school community, and creates a broad-based program of excellence. As we hear from alumnae/i who compete in collegiate programs, or go on to compete in the decades to come, we find our athletics philosophy instills in CA graduates the desire to live by our guiding values.

Feel free to reach out to either of us if you have any questions. We would love to hear!

Go Green!
