        At the Roundhouse Saturday

2/29/20

The weather forecast for the weekend is cold and wet, so Saturday will be a good day to get to some indoor  chores.
Work on 4070s cab is ongoing.  The ceiling still has wood framing that needs to be removed and mapped.  Still some patch work needs to be done on the roof. Saturday we have to make some decisions about replacing the firebox side sheet metal. Our draftsman has been busy making dwgs for that part of the cab. There may still some touch up work on the bronze window frames and we can start cleaning some of the vent assemblies and covers. The roof covers should be palletized so we can sand blast them as soon as the weather permits. We also need to tag and sort through everything that we did remove and prepare them for storage. We will also be pulling the 4070 tender outside and empty stall 4 so the Grove man lift can come in to do some ceiling work
With the remodel of the lunch room and the proliferation of cleaning supplies, we need to do some rearranging and move around some cabinets.  Conduit was run out to the compressor shed, so we are about ready to run wiring and air lines. Also a new HEP line is going to be run to the stall doors so we can plug in cars outside of the roundhouse. We need some volunteers with electrical skills to help pull wires.  Moving the compressor will greatly reduce noise and gain some valuable space in the shop area.
