Hey Parents!!!

And just like that, Love Notes is over! Pastor Lisa closed out the series with an amazing night! She should seriously consider becoming a youth pastor. I've gotta say, we've got the best lead pastors in the world and Pastor Lisa's message absolutely solidified that for me. Not that I wasn't sure before- you just got to listen to her message for yourself!

Here's the highlights from the message:

Being single is the most important time in your life
Find your purpose in God before you find someone else
Be content and okay with the season you are in
If you're always looking for what's next, you're going to miss what's going on now
How you date should be for the glory of God
Let your principles regulate your passions
You can't go forward if you keep looking back

Here's some questions you could ask :

What is dating?
Why should you date?
What does being content mean?
Are you okay with who you are?
What does God have for you?
Who completes you?
Can I pick out your husband/wife? Why not?
What boundaries are you going to make in your relationship?

This week the questions are a little late, but all that means is there's been more time for the message to sink in (or, you know, be completely forgotten!).

We've got one more thing we're going to do for the Love Notes series; a Q&A Livestream!

Here's some of the questions we've gotten so far:

What is love? (This has been the number one asked question. Because of the song. Our teenagers think they're funny.)
How do you deal with people?
How do you know if they are the right person?
Why is dating difficult? It sucks!
Why is getting over someone so hard to do?
What's the best pickup line?
Should I tell my crush I like him?
My crush has corona virus, should I still pursue him? (oh my gosh haha, I'm just reading these as I type this email haha)

So we're going to answer those questions soon! We'll put out a date and link when we've got it on the schedule, but if you have any questions you'd like us to answer in front of the students, please feel free to text in! We're not opposed to some leading questions! After all, we're on the same team!
