Edna Rodriguez, age 58, of San Antonio, Texas, was called home to be with our Lord on February 15, 2020 at University Hospital in San Antonio.

Born in San Antonio, Texas on May 29, 1961.  Edna was the daughter of Ruth M. Rodriguez and Eugenio Rodriguez.  She was a retired elementary school bilingual Teacher. She taught at Edgewood ISD, East Central ISD, Dallas ISD, and at Tyler Street Christian Academy in Dallas, Texas. During her distinguished career, Edna held several leadership positions including grade level team leader and department chair. 

Edna studied print-making at Texas A&I University at Kingsville and education at Texas A&M University, Commerce.  Edna graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in San Antonio. She was an active member of La Trinidad United Methodist Church where she served in several capacities.

Edna was preceded in death by her father Eugenio Rodriguez, and husband of 24 years, James Aleman.  She is survived by her son, Sergio Aleman, mother, Ruth M. Rodriguez, and brother, David M. Rodriguez, his wife Gloria, and nieces, Andrea and Sarah Rodriguez. She also leaves several aunts, many cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family.

Edna enjoyed traveling.  She was particularly fond of the cruises she took. Edna had many lifelong friends and loved gathering with them, and attending class reunions.  She was fond of cooking and baking, and spending time with family. Edna was passionate about teaching, felt blessed singing in the church choir, and was a life-long student of the fine arts.
