Theatre is about human connection: that singular moment of exchange between actor and audience, unique to every individual and production. That’s what makes the COVID-19 pandemic so very difficult for our industry, because it has deprived that exchange which inspires our work and stirs our beings. SOTD wishes everyone across our industry the very best of luck during this challenging time. As we all hold our breath and wait for the storm to pass, we have put together a series of online events to help keep our actors and audiences engaged. We welcome all to join us.

Star of the Day was founded by Kirsten Almeida on the premise of support for and by the community. And it was founded as a promise Kirsten made to her late best friend, Beth, that she wouldn't waste another day.  She turned her grief into an organization whose mission is to entertain, educate, encourage, and elevate the community through music, theatre, and dance. This organization has to date touched the lives of more than 300 families. We have continued to dedicate cabarets to local charitable organizations such as the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, St. John's UCC of Emmaus, Adoptions from the Heart, and more. We are working hard to continue to help those in our arts and our larger Lehigh Valley community find productive and educational ways to stay connected to each other. We thank those on the front lines serving the community to keep us safe, some of whom are our very own performers and parents of performers.

We hope that you will consider making a tax-deductible birthday gift to Star of the Day today to help us celebrate now and many years to come.

Thank you in advance. Stay safe!
