Principal MatthewsPrincipal's Message

With the end of the third quarter grading period quickly approaching, we are revving up for some fun events these next several weeks. Field trips, Dare to Care, S.A. Movie Night, and don’t forget our Music Festival trip. Nearly a third of our student population is attending Music Festival this year! Parents, please be sure your student is properly packed and prepared for this event so that they can represent our school well.

We are keeping an eye on the CDC’s recommendations regarding preparing for a possible coronavirus outbreak. It is imperative that each student follow general rules of health and sanitation. Encourage your student to wash their hands often and make sure they get plenty of sleep. If your student has been sick, please be sure their temperature is below 99.5 for a full 24 hours before returning them to school. This helps us prevent the spread of any virus, whether it be the flu or potentially the coronavirus. We are pleased to see that the flu virus has waned and attendance is back to normal levels.

Remember, only you can prevent coronavirus!
David Matthews

Announcements

S.A. Movie Night - this Saturday night!
S.A. will be hosting a movie night at Louisville First’s fellowship hall tomorrow evening, Saturday, February 29, at 6:00 pm, starting with vespers and then a movie, “The Secret Life of Pets 2”, will start afterwards. Anyone and everyone is invited, bring your family and friends. Bring blankets and pillows or even come in your PJ’s if the spirit so moves you!

Concessions will be at the courtesy of Ms. Patti Higgs and the Snack Shop crew, who will be bringing the famous snack shop menu to you for one night only. So, for those of you who love the corndogs and veggie burgers or have not had the pleasure of eating it before, this is your day!

Please note that there will be a $3 admission fee for each person.
2020-2021 Re-Enrollment Info
We are in the process of handing out envelopes to each family with all the forms required for re-enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year. (Please feel free to come by the office if you have not received yours yet.) As you know, several of our classrooms are nearing capacity, and we want to be sure our returning students have first priority. To ensure your student has a seat, these forms must be completed and returned by March 23 with a $150 Enrollment Fee per student. Each packet will contain your tuition rates and payment options for next school year so that those who are interested in 12–month payment plans can be set up to start in June. There will be a drawing for four $100 scholarships for all who have completed paperwork and fees on time
