Today is the National Collegiate Day of Prayer. Thousands of men and women across the country are taking time to pray, fast, and long together for revival on college and university campuses. Will you join in prayer today for the college and university campuses in Western NY?
Here are some specific ways you can partner in prayer today:
Come, Lord Jesus.
Give thanks to God for his goodness - for the students who have come to know him in Western NY, for the multiplication of witnessing communities over the past 5 years, for the gift he extends to students, faculty and us to co-labor with him as he brings revival and renewal to all things, including all the people, ideas and structures of the university and its professions.
Please pray for kingdom fruit among the existing fellowships - the law school, the grad fellowship at UB, the grad fellowship at the UR, CMDA at the medical school, CMDA at the dental school, CPFI in the Pharmacy school, the Buffalo wide faculty fellowship, the faculty fellowship at Niagara University.
Please pray for the students who lead these fellowships - Janet, Joseph, Elise, Honour, Yasmin, Mackenzie, Rina, Haekyung, Charlie, Justin, Sara, AJ, Jimmy, Lena, Theresa, Zakiya, Sammoura, Elison. Pray they will be filled with the Holy Spirit and would have a deep abiding in Jesus that would equip them for mission with Jesus.
Please pray for the faculty who are following Jesus on campus - David, Joyce, Bill, Dave, John, Ed, Kemper, David, John, Tom, Jason, Alan, Bill, Torrence, AK, Phil, Matthew, Andy, Andy, Tim, Anthony and others. Pray they, too, will be filled with the Holy Spirit and that Jesus will shine brightly in and through them. Pray they will be a light to student who need to know that Jesus died to take away their sins and not their minds.
Please pray for unreached corners and unreached campuses - For RIT, Syracuse University, Buff State and the many other dozens of colleges in Western NY. Pray for Jesus to raise up missional students and a faculty who will join his kingdom work on campus.
Please pray for laborers - the harvest is so plentiful. We need an increase of volunteers and staff who will help propel mission forward to new campuses and unreached corners.
Please pray for revival on university and college campuses in Western NY, Upstate NY, the Northeast and across the country.
Come, Lord Jesus.
