Student Volunteer Week is coming up!

Student Volunteer Week 2020 runs from 30 March till 5 April. Celebrating #SVW2020 is an opportunity to acknowledge the impact that student volunteers make through volunteering.

During #SVW2020 students, universities, schools and organisations will be celebrating our student volunteers and connecting young people with opportunities to get involved in volunteering, social action and mahi aroha.

The theme of #SVW2020 "Collective Impact: Give.Grow.Connect” celebrates student volunteers who give a hand and make a difference in Aotearoa New Zealand. By giving to a community or cause, student volunteers grow and flourish and create change within their communities.

Social Fundraising is Easier Than You Think with Justin Wheeler

Thu, Mar 19, 2020 5:00 AM - 6:00 AM NZDT

Yes, social fundraising IS for your nonprofit! Start at the beginning and quickly move to social fundraising strategies and peer-to-peer best practices that you can implement with one hand tied behind your back. Learn which social fundraising platforms are proven successes (Facebook) and which ones are up-and-comers with unlimited donation potential (Twitch). Even a small team (or individual!) can take on social fundraising, step-by-step or all at once, and expand your nonprofit's digital reach, resulting in a larger donor base and increased donations that feed right into your nonprofit's database. So, what kind of nonprofits have social fundraising success? Nonprofits just like yours.

As a social entrepreneur, Justin helped start two successful nonprofits, both of which became multi-million dollar organizations. He brings over 10 years of experience from the nonprofit sector and was an early team member of Invisible Children, which raised over $50M in the first 8 years of operation.
