Cochrane Interactive Learning at the Master's Programme in Medical Science at Lund University

Last month it was announced that Cochrane Interactive Learning (CIL) will be included within the Master's Programme in Medical Science at Lunds University for all new students starting in the fall of 2020. Cochrane Interactive Learning (CIL) has been part of the Medical Programme at Lund University since 2018.

The 11 different modules, which contains material for at least 16-32 hours of learning, cover topics like Risk of bias, How to search for studies, Network meta-analysis and Health equity. Case studies, interactive graphics and video recording from experts in evidence based medicine are all part of the 11 modules together with evaluations with quizzes and final assessments for each module.

If these online learning modules about how to systematically review the evidence of different treatments would be a useful tool within your institution, programme or clinic - do not hesitate to contact us for guidance.

Swedens activity within Cochrane Interactive Learning (CIL)
In January, Sweden took the lead in having the highest number of people completing the Cochrane Interactive Learning globally. Sweden also has the third-largest group in initializing the learning modules, after the US and the UK.

We at Cochrane Sweden hope that this represents a growing interest in systematically reviewing the evidence to make informed decisions regarding treatments but also that it represents an increasing interest in evidence-based healthcare within Sweden.
