REDHILLS GUIDED TOURS

We are very pleased to announce our second programme of guided tours of Redhills.

With the help of expert guides, visitors will be able to explore The Pitman's Parliament and the rooms and corridors at Redhills which serve as a living archive of labour movement and Durham coalfield history.

Last year the DMA launched the first programme of tours in the 105-year history of Redhills. The tours quickly sold out.

The guided tours last 90 minutes and will take place every first Sunday of the month from April until September. The first tour is at 1pm on Sunday 5 April.

Places are limited to 20 per tour and people are advised to book early to secure their places. A standard ticket costs £6, with concessions priced at £4.

On Friday, The Pitman's Parliament at Redhills becomes a theatre for the evening.
Danny Mellor brings his acclaimed Miners' Strike play Undermined to Redhills on the anniversary of the start of the dispute.
The performance will be followed by a Q&A/discussion with Danny and leading Durham figures from the dispute.
Based on true stories and events from the 1984-85 strike, the play features just one man, one chair, and one pint. It comes to Durham following an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival.
Our thanks to NASUWT North East for their support for this event.
Undermined is at Redhills on Friday 6 March, starting at 7.30pm.
