Public Health concerns about the Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Given the current public health concerns we would suggest to all of our members, to consider very carefully whether they should be attending meetings if they're feeling unwell, especially if they feel they're suffering from something that someone else might catch.
This is very much for the benefit of all members, as well as the individual.
We will update you as and when the situation changes and suggest that you keep informed via the NHS website bit.ly/NHScovid-19
The guidance from UGLE in the graphic above is worth noting.
Please click on the following link for the note sent out to all members by the Grand Secretary. It is also on our website and TeamApp.

Brethren of Moseley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No.667 were joined by representatives from the Province of Worcestershire and Mark Masons’ Hall to celebrate the Lodge’s Centenary. All present were treated to an excellent Elevation ceremony conducted by the Worshipful Commander, ably assisted by the Officers and other members of the Lodge, as Bro. Sarbjit Lalli became the newest member.
After the Centenary Warrant had been presented and W.Bro. Gary Vale, Prov.R.A.M.G.R., Scribe, had delivered a precis of the Lodge’s history, the Brethren retired to enjoy a Black Country Supper of Beef Broth, Mini Fish & Chips in paper, Faggots & Mushy Peas, and Bread & Butter Pudding.
Following the meal, the R.W. Prov.G.M. presented the Deputy Grand Master with a memento of his visit, a bottle of Worcestershire Sauce. However, the Worshipful Commander upped the ante by presenting R.W. Bro. Prizeman with a splendid antique Royal Worcester vase.

The meeting took place at the Pretoria Masonic Centre, with future meetings being held in the Pim Lorentz Memorial Hall in Manzini, eSwatini.
Overseeing proceedings was the Conclave Supreme Ruler,
Wy.Bro. Richard Woodward P.G.Swd.B., who is also District Grand Recorder for South Africa - Northern.
Facebook Post of the Week

And here are just a few of the comments received for this inspirational
man and Freemason.
Supporting the Homeless, Marginalised and Vulnerable Members of our Communities

Sussex Mark Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Martin Wilson, was delighted to present a cheque for £68,000 to fund a custom fitted St John Ambulance mobile treatment centre for the homeless in Brighton and the surrounding areas, on behalf of the MBF.
This is a vital lifeline which enables St John Ambulance to:
  • Administer first aid
  • Treat wounds and change dressings
  • Discuss current health concerns
  • Specialised foot care with a podiatrist
  • Referrals to appropriate services
  • Give support and listen
  • Health assessments
  • Health promotion
  • Provide socks, shoes, space blankets, sun cream, and other items
  • Offer support attending health care appointments.
#Tweet of the Week
As regards reaction and engagement it was easily the same story as the Facebook Post of the week, but to show variety and to curry favour with the Latin scholars and followers of the College of Arms the following is a worthy second.

By way of a footnote I feel impelled to place on record the disappointment of the Grand Secretary that last Sunday's offering sadly didn't even
make the top 25.

#Friday Feeling
It's good to feel liked and followed - Mark Masons' Hall and our Grand Secretary are no exception. One of the very powerful ways of building awareness and consideration towards our ten Orders is to establish a presence on social media - Facebook and Twitter are a good start - and to have that conversation with your members and potential candidates.
We would also like to share our appreciation of the great work you are all doing - please email us on communications@mmh.org.uk with your Facebook and Twitter details. This will ensure that we like, share, follow and retweet in return - all emails will be acknowledged.
Thank you.
