Clothing Swap, debuting in front of the Palm Springs Cultural Center on Saturday February 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. so
everyone can “Leap” into Sustainability with us. Participants
can show up on Saturday with NO cash in hand and still leave
in style.
Anyone and everyone can clear their closets, unburden
themselves and try the minimalist life. We’ll be accepting
men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories, all sizes
and styles – no limit to how much they can donate or take
away.
Everything that doesn’t find a new home will be routed to Revivals or another partner organization. The point is two-
fold: 1. Each year, 80 lbs of clothing per capita in the U.S. ends
up in the landfill, and that’s just unacceptable. And 2. We
know people in the Coachella Valley are holding on to a
treasure trove of fashion they don’t wear, and we can share
the wealth with each other! So come down to the Palm
Springs Cultural Center on Leap Day and swap to your heart’s
content!

The Palm Springs Cultural Center incubates, produces and encourages arts and cultural programs in order to leverage the unique power of creativity to open minds, bridge what divides us, and discover what connects us. Our programs include film festivals, farmers’ markets, live performances, art installations and lecture series – all of which act as creative inspiration points – expanding our learning and building meaningful relationships with the people and the natural environment around us. As an organization, The Palm Springs Cultural Center is also at the forefront of recognizing the interconnection between the cultural arts and food culture, and their combined importance to the vitality, collective consciousness and sustainability of the community.
