March 13, 2020 (Update: 1:30pm)

Dear ISL Families,

As per Governor John Bel Edwards’ proclamation, beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020 all Louisiana K-12 schools are closed through April 13, 2020.

International School of Louisiana administration and staff has been preparing for a possible closure and continues to work on plans for distance learning. Within the next week, you will receive information regarding the Progress Reports and other school work related details. Detailed plans will be emailed to families as soon as they are available.

Important things to note:

  • Monday, March 16, 2020 school is closed for all students and teachers/staff. Staff will be unavailable on this day.

  • Due to the large volume of emails and phone calls to our staff, we are unable to respond quickly. Response time will be slower than usual as we continue to work on preparations and address questions and concerns as they are received.

  • Next week, after Tuesday, March 17, 2020, ISL families will hear from their Campus Principal regarding distance learning plans.

We appreciate your support during this time as we prepare for a long-term closure.

Thank you,

Melanie Tennyson
CEO/Head of School
