The Kensington Farmers’ Market will meet at Colusa Circle this Sunday.
Here’s what we’re doing to keep you healthy:
- We will no longer be sampling products.
- Each vendor will have a hand-washing station available at their booth – either warm water and soap, or hand-sanitizer. Note: both Market porta-potties have hand-washing stations.
- We're taking out the center aisle at the Market to facilitate "social distancing."
SHOPPING SHORTCUT: Pick up PREPARED FOODS for meals that are ready-to-roll. Many of these are freezer-ready, so you can keep them on hand for later in the week: Donna's Tamales, Simurgh Bakery ... and more. Home delivery: Victorian Farmstead Meat Company, The Fruit Tree smoothies.
Work with us toward a healthy, accessible and successful market during this health crisis!

We’re sharing this checklist from the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association to help you stay healthy as the Coronavirus – COVID 19 – runs its course:
- Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds and be thorough – soaping up the palms of your hands, the backs of your hands, your wrists, and between your fingers.
- If hand washing is not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer; apply it liberally on the palms of your hands, the backs of your hands and between your fingers.
- If you are sick, stay home Ask someone to pick things up for you at the farmers’ market instead. If you're feeling sick and must come to the market, wear a mask. Otherwise, the CDC isn't recommending people wear masks.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- When you sneeze or cough, sneeze or cough into a tissue or into the crease of your elbow.
- Wash all produce thoroughly before using.
- Wash reusable produce bags between farmers’ market visits. If you bring plastic bags to the market, wash them and dry them to completely before using again.
