COVID-19 Update from Explore Georgia
Explore Georgia is working closely with state and national partners to continually monitor the ever-evolving situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. We have now activated the consumer-facing Explore Georgia Travel Alert page on the Explore Georgia website to provide visitors with travel-related information. We will continue to update the site as this situation develops.
Following Governor Kemp’s order issued yesterday, March 12, the Georgia Department of Economic Development has implemented telework options for employees. All non-essential travel has been suspended. All state Visitor Information Centers (VIC) will close indefinitely, effective today at 5:30 p.m. Additional information is provided below.
We have paused all Explore Georgia paid advertising, social media activity, and promotional activities. This includes inbound and outbound FAMs, media trips, and mission trips. Brand USA and Travel South USA have implemented similar actions.
We continue to update the COVID-19 information page on the Explore Georgia Tourism Industry Portal. This page points to resources from national and state public health organizations to give you all the information you need regarding COVID-19. |
