Well, friends, it is March, time for another update.
We spent January 20-27 in Long Beach Ca working with Converge leaders planning the direction for the Initiatives throughout Africa and Europe.
We spent a week with our youngest son, Robert and his wife Katie in North Carolina. We have been in Connecticut since late February visiting our ministry partners here and will be here another two weeks. Then we start our return back to Minnesota visiting our ministry partners on the way. We plan on being back in MN early April and plan to return to Nigeria mid-April.
One of the items that we have to attend to immediately upon our return to Nigeria is extending our Visas and we covet your prayers for this process
Update on Dan’s health: He has had no further complications and continues to improve. We are very thankful!
We’re hearing good reports from our staff in Nigeria as the work continues. Several new students have passed their entrance exam and have entered the Technical Training Program. Although there have been challenges with the new computer system in the hospital, the work continues and they are dealing with the issues. They have continued the remodeling project in the lab. Our Chaplain and staff continue sharing Jesus with our patients, we have had positive reports.
The guest house has had a great deal of business with NGO’s visiting and caring for refugees, so we have started making blocks to build an additional guest house. This additional income contributes to the sustainability of the organization.
As we have shared before, Converge has asked us to lead an Initiative to the region of Nigeria that we are in. The Initiative has been named the Gotel Initiative, and you can read a little bit more about it if you go to www.gotelit.com .
As the Initiative develops there will be needs. The first thing is we ask you to pray for the planning and progress as we move forward. Secondly, we are looking for additional people to join us in Nigeria and people that will help us build a Consortium in the U.S. to support the initiative.
