Prepare for Worship on Sunday
In today’s gospel the Samaritan woman asks Jesus for water, an image of our thirst for God. Jesus offers living water, a sign of God’s grace flowing from the waters of baptism. The early church used this gospel and those of the next two Sundays to deepen baptismal reflection during the final days of preparation before baptism at Easter. As we journey to the resurrection feast, Christ comes among us in word, bath, and meal—offering us the life-giving water of God’s mercy and forgiveness.
Readings: Exodus 17:1-7 | Romans 5:1-8 | John 4;5-26

Season of Lent Worship Services
We live our lives beneath the cross of Jesus, beneath God’s manifold love and grace that reach to us even from Calvary. Based on the hymn “Beneath The Cross Of Jesus” (LBW 107), this mid-week Lent series explores what it means for us to abide at the foot of the cross, to cling to the rock of our salvation, to dwell in the house of the Lord, and to confess our sins and receive God’s forgiveness.

Lenten Midweek Services will be Wednesday evenings at 5:45pm (family service) and at 7:00pm (Lenten Vespers) with a meal in-between these services in the Fellowship Hall.

Easter Lilies
Easter lilies can be ordered at the table in the narthex on Sunday March 8 & 15th. Lilies are $8.00 each. Checks can be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Orders and money are due by Sunday, March 15.

Confession and Absolution: the Lutheran Difference
Altar calls. Absolution. Penance. Forgiveness. So many opinions. What do you believe? For Lutherans, Christian confession is not simply a historic practice of the church or a pious ritual; it is a profound summary of the whole Christian faith. Join us as we explore God's Word and discover why Confession and Absolution stands at the heart of Christian faith and life. Class will be in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings at 11:00am.
