COVID-19 and the Garland County Library –

While our library remains open regular hours at this time, some of our special events will be canceled. We will notify those who have registered for these events and sharing updates as they happen on our Facebook page.

We are taking extra precautions to keep our library clean, including regularly disinfecting surfaces, door handles, and materials.

We ask all our patrons to help us keep our library healthy – wash your hands often, cough in your elbow, and please stay home if you’re feeling ill. We can’t stress this enough – please, please do not come to the library if you’re sick.

You can access wonderful online resources for free through our website. Borrow ebooks and audiobooks, stream movies and TV shows, and explore one of our informative databases like Creativebug, Newsbank, and Mango Languages. Digital library cards can be obtained for access to all our digital offerings. Visit www.gclibrary.com to get started.

Please be patient with library staff as we navigate these unprecedented circumstances. We are doing everything we can to operate the library in the best way possible.

Come witness the electrifying Tesla coil and learn all about the science behind it from expert Richard Mathias. The coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit designed by inventor Nikola Tesla in 1891.

Richard Mathias, founder and president of the Tesla Coil Museum Exhibit Program, has donated museum-quality Tesla Coils to qualifying science museums across the country, including Hot Springs' own Mid-America Science Museum.

Several giveaways will be raffled to audience members, including a DVD documentary on Tesla's legacy, miniature Tesla Coil Plasma Globes, and 3D books.
Level-Up Gamers begins on Thursday, April 16th! Kids ages 4-10 are invited to come play video games with us every other Thursday.

Our long-running Garland County Gamers that meets on Wednesday nights will be only for kids and teens ages 11-18 starting in April.

Join us for a children's concert featuring Brian and Terri Kinder. Together they perform concerts for kids that include singing, dancing, laughing, and learning. They're known for their feel-good tunes filled with imagination and fun.

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Group visits by appointment only.
We love reading to kids and doing fun crafts!
