In recent days there has been an escalation of the COVID-19 situation globally, and closer to home in NSW. As a result, we felt it appropriate to provide advice for all clubs, coaches, members and associated persons.

 As this is a rapidly changing situation, Swimming NSW will continue to provide relevant updates through this dedicated page. We also have provided attendees at this weekend's 2020 NSW State Open Championships with the following additional advice.

We understand that this is a worrying time for many in our community. We want to assure you that our staff and SNSW Board are responding to the situation as it evolves.

Swimming NSW is proud to be part of Swimming Australia's new State-Based National Age Challenge – the next stage in the evolution of its competition pathway for swimmers across the country.

Our upcoming 2020 NSW Junior State Age Championships will double as NSW's involvement in this pilot program, which gives younger swimmers who are not yet eligible to compete at Age Championships the opportunity to acquire a national virtual ranking in events and allowing them to see where they’re positioned against competitors from around the country. Please note: There are no events scheduled for boys aged 14 and girls aged 13-14 at the NSW Junior State Age Championships. We apologise for any inconvenience as we pilot the program for the first year.

Registrations for Endeavour Sports High School's swimming trials for Year 7, 2021 are now open. Contact the school directly on 02 9524 0615 to register.

• Release of all previously listed new features and additions to Swim Central will be completed by 26^th March.
  • In the meantime, the following functionality is being released today:
    • Added ability for Participants to set 'Has Disability' field on Profile. Swim Central recognising them as multiclass competitors allowed them to see MC-specific events within meets, and nominate for them. More functionality for this is coming on March 26^th as above.
    • Added all MC Categories (S1-15, SM & SB) to Participant’s Profile; however these won’t be able to be edited by participants or clubs (NSW can do this).
• Clubs would have started to receive their invoices from Swimming NSW for the first bulk of Active Kids vouchers used. This is for the SNSW/SAL component of the fee. If you don’t believe you were emailed this, please ask your club Treasurer to check their emails.
