Dear YAX friends and supporters,
 With the rapidly changing situation around COVID-19 in the past week, we have all been anxiously waiting to hear updates from SFUSD regarding their plans to address this pandemic. As of 3pm today, after long and careful deliberation, SFUSD has decided to close all schools for 3 weeks beginning Monday, March 16th through the end of regularly scheduled spring break, ending Friday, April 3rd.
Given this decision, YAX will be cancelling all after-school programming and events, including:
- Upcycled Instruments Art Workshop with Green Art Workshop, 3/14
- YAX TRAX, 3/25
- Diaspora: A Celebration of Black Art with Karen Smith, 3/28
- Sunday Streets Excelsior, 3/29
- Artist Potluck, 4/1
We are considering virtual options for Ready or Not! events, and will continue to provide updates.
As of now, we plan to restart all regular programming on Monday, April 6th.
We look forward to seeing everyone in April, and please stay healthy and well!
