1. Today Friday March 13th and tomorrow Saturday March 14th, from 10am to 3pm, the 10th Chiswick House Camellia Festival is open in the Conservatory, free of charge. It runs till March 22nd, and at 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays there are free ‘camellia tours’. There are also competitions. Full details
 
2. Tonight Friday 13th at 7.30pm (and tomorrow, Saturday, at 4pm and 7.30pm) at the Chiswick Playhouse above the Tabard, the new production is Delivery, “a comedy about conflict, fruit flies and a baby”.

3. Tomorrow Saturday March 14th at 1pm, on the south side of Turnham Green tube station, the next ‘Fourth Plinth for W4’ artwork will be unveiled, where Sir Peter Blake’s Chiswick Empire collage is currently displayed. Rebecca Frayn, director of the new film Misbehaviour, will do the honours.

4. On Sunday March 15th, the third Sunday in Lent, at 10am in St Michael & All Angels Church, it’s a Choral Mass. Preacher Prof Graham Holderness, Commissioned Lay Minister. Plus Creche (0-3 years), Children’s Church (4-10 years), Youth Church (9.30am in Michael Room). For service details, see our Calendar

            St Michael & All Angels marks Lent in several ways: sermons, study groups, lunches for our Lent Charities Appeal, trips and a Lent book. See Lent at St Michael’s
             At 11.30am, in the Hall, Fr Thomas Couper will lead a study group on The Gospel and the Fatherhood of God.
            At 12 noon, in the Michael Room, there’s the last of three Lent Lunches in aid of our three 2020 charities: The Upper Room, WaterHarvest and West London Welcome. It will be hosted by Crystal Ahamefula. All welcome, but please sign list at the back of the church. At the end, there’ll be the draw for the Divine Chocolate Raffle,with a Divine hamper and smaller boxes of chocolates, marking the end of Fairtrade Fortnight.
           
5. Also on Sunday 15th at 6.30pm in St Michael & All Angels it’s Evensong. Throughout Lent, a member of the congregation will give a Lent talk about three people who have inspired them, on the theme ‘Guess who’s coming to dinner’. Tonight, it’s Dr Cathie James. All welcome. Lent at St Michael’s

6. Please donate food to the Ealing Food Bank – the March shopping list is displayed at the back of the church.
            There are volunteering opportunities at our new charity West London Welcome, based at the Quaker Meeting House in Hammersmith. See more

7. On Wednesday March 18th at the Lamb in Chiswick High Road, it’s the next Chiswick Lunch Break networking event for local businesses. Before that, from 10am to 11.30, Jeannie Shapiro is running a free Social Media and Marketing Surgery in conjunction with Workspace Barley Mow. 8. On Wednesday March 18th (and 25th), at 8pm at St Peter’s Church in Southfield Road, there is a Lent Film Reflection on Silence in Film. See leaflet and sign up at the back of St Michael & All Angels Church.
        
9. From Wednesday March 18th at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery in Ealing, Hogarth: London Voices, London Lives will display the eight ‘A Rake’s Progress’ paintings for four months. It’s the start of a momentous year for Hogarth in west London, including the opening of the Hogarth House Mulberry Garden and a Chiswick Book Festival event in September. Read more in the

10. On Wednesday March 18th at 2pm at St Michael & All Angels Church, it's the funeral of Jen Jeremy.

11. On Thursday March 19th from 5.45pm to 6.45 in St Michael & All Angels Church - Youth Polyphony Showcase 2020, featuring music from Stile Antico, West London Free School, Holland Park School and Bishop Thomas Grant School, Free entry. Concert supported by Arts Council England.

12. On Sunday March 22nd at 10am at St Michael & All Angels Church, it’s the Mothering Sunday Family Mass, with singing led by St Michael’s Choristers and distribution of flowers. Preacher: Fr Thomas Couper, curate.
 
13. Also on Sunday 22nd at 11.30am from Chiswick Pier Trust, there’s a Mothering Sunday Brunch Cruise from Chiswick to Teddington Lock.

14. On Saturday March 28th, from 10am to 4pm, at Gunnersbury Park Museum there are Local History Day talks. For £20, buy a day ticket to attend up to three talks or tours during the day. More details, plus see the Lego suffragette.

 
15. Also on Saturday 28th at 7.30pm in St. Peter’s Church, Southfield Rd, W4 1BB, it’s the Addison Singers Spring concert – Beethoven, Mass in C; Cecilia McDowall, Stabat Mater; Edwin Roxburgh; Lament for the victims of conflict (for oboe and strings). Tickets in advance £15 Adult, £3 under 16's (plus Ticketsource booking fee)

- Thursday April 23rd, from 7pm, Bush Hall, 310 Uxbridge Road, W12 7LJ. Gala Dinner for The Upper Room to mark the end of its ‘mayoral' year. Auction run by Chiswick Auctions (including VIP Porsche experience day at Silverstone, villa in Italy and cottage in Cumbria), a live band, amazing food by Chef Dan Cameron and Leith’s School of Food & Wine.
