Die MS RheinGalaxie, das modernste Eventschiff der „Köln-Düsseldorfer Rheinschiffahrt“ wird im Mai 2020 das aller erste Mal vom Stapel laufen. 85 Meter lang und 24 Meter breit bietet sie Platz für bis zu 1.000 Festival-gäste. Bereits zwei Monate später wird der Eventliner Spielort zahlreicher Performances und Zeuge verschiedenster Musikrichtungen des bereits veröffentlichten Hauptprogramms der Monheim Triennale sein.
Und so sieht das aus, wenn die MS RheinGalaxie zum ersten Mal in ihrem Leben das Wasser berührt:

The maiden launch of the MS RheinGalaxie, the most modern event ship of the ‘Köln-Düsseldorfer Rheinschiffahrt’ will take place in May 2020. Measuring 85 metres long and 24 metres wide, it can accommodate up to 1,000 festival guests. Just two months later, this event ship will host numerous performances and showcase a wide variety of musical styles from the Monheim Triennale's main programme, which has been released.

Today, Shabaka Hutchings and his band Shabaka And The Ancestors release their new album ‘We are Sent Here By History’. The New York Times acknowledged this with an extensive feature. We are looking forward to July, when Shabaka will perform one of his projects at the Monheim Triennale with a combination of his three bands as well as the EOS Kammer-orchester. A world premiere!
