Sydney indie-electronic artist and producer Alyrah releases her single The Empress ahead of the release of her second EP, The Twin Flame Portal.

The Empress is the final song and chapter of the transcendent love-story that is The Twin Flame Portal, a story about those we travel with across worlds and lifetimes. Capturing the sublime ecstasy of release and gratitude, The Empress is the archetypal expression of a heart that has grown wings through humility and forgiveness, and is set free in total surrender. Deeply bitter-sweet and ultimately a celebration, this song is where Alyrah unapologetically exposes the lesson of love as the greatest teacher.

Since 2017, Alyrah has entertained Sydney’s underground with her indefinable indie-electronic sound, weaving undeniably danceable beats with lush layers of vocal harmonies. Blending elements of trance, breakbeat, trap and ambient with definite Middle Eastern flavours, Alyrah paints soundscapes that are as original as they are familiar.

Alyrah has a unique set of musical influences from early in her life: her Lebanese father’s Arabic music, her mother’s varied Western tastes and her brother’s love of hip hop and metal. The result is a sound that transcends genres and escapes boxes. The Twin Flame Portal captures these many worlds in a galactic soundscape of intensely euphoric and textural beats. With guest appearances from Jordan Leonard of Sydney duo Boulevarde on beats for songs Twin Flame and Ishtar, the uniqueness of The Twin Flame Portal sets it apart in its pop crossover elements.
