Good evening,
I know there are a lot of questions about what the District communication regarding the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) means for our program moving forward. As the district email noted, this is a rapidly changing situation at this point, I don't have any clear answers for you yet.
Tomorrow, I will be working with our Administration to get a clearer picture of everything that needs to happen and what activities (rehearsals/classes) will be directly impacted by this plan. I will also be meeting with Mr. Armstrong, Mrs. Goldberg, and Ms. Lindsey to discuss our plans moving forward and by tomorrow night, I will hopefully have all the answers to the questions that are being asked.
Please know that our number one concern is always the safety and health of our students and families and no decisions will be made without a full understanding of the situation before us and thoughtful planning. I know we want clarity and answers fast, but I don't want to make any major decisions without first getting all the information possible and thinking about the long term impacts that those decisions will have on our students. With that being said, please be patient and know that we are as concerned about what is happening as all of you are. By tomorrow night, I hope to have more answers and I will email everyone again with everything we know and our plan moving forward.
