Dear All,
The committee at Normanhurst Eagles continues to monitor the Coronavirus issue and the impact that it may have on our club members as they participate in pre-season competitions and in the upcoming season.
We are taking updates and advice from the NSW Department of Health, FFA and the North West Sydney Football Association and at this point we will continue with the senior trial games planned over the weekend.
However the ongoing efforts to contain the outbreak may impact on our capacity to conduct training and attend games in the near future (including the trial games next weekend). We will seek to communicate with all of you as soon as we become aware of any changes that may need to be made to the current schedule.
Importantly, we ask that all players coaches, parents and friends NOT to attend training or games if you exhibit flu-like symptoms. It is best, considering the current environment, to seek medical advice. We would also ask that you observe the current 14-day quarantine period imposed on anyone who has visited China, Italy, Korea or Iran. This may be expanded to other countries given the ongoing spread of the infection.
We encourage all our members to follow the Australian Government's guidelines as to how to reduce the risk of getting Coronavirus. All participants are encouraged to use thorough hand washing techniques and anti-bacterial hand gels:
www.who.int/gpsc/clean_hands_protection/en/ .We also recommend that participants reassess how they greet people on a day-to-day basis and how they can minimise contact with other participants in and around the football field.
We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with you as the situation evolves and any further steps become clearer.
