GP Services - Ask MY GP

The Covid 19 crisis is forcing many changes to the way GP services operate as we know. However there is one good one I have used. It is called "askmyGP".

It is an online tool and very easy to use. I used it to contact my GP about a minor skin problem and got a telephone call back within 10 minutes from the Doctor I gave her a brief description of my problem and she wrote the necessary prescription which was delivered 2 days later.

I have had a look around the GP websites in the Swansea Bay Health Board (not all GP services have a functioning website however) and, as at date, the following GP practices offer the askmyGP service:

  • Afan Valley Group Practice
  • Dr. Wilkes & Partners, Briton Ferry Health Centre
  • Skewen Medical Centre
  • Cwmtawe Medical Group
  • The Grove Medical Centre & The Marina Surgery
  • Harbourside Health Centre
  • Mountain View Health Centre (previously Mayhill Surgery)
  • SA1 Medical Centre

You might consider asking your GP if they are going to use the app.....

Keep safe and well
