Do you expect a state income tax refund?
Now you can invest some or all of it to support the Durango Arts Center.
We can't do what we do without YOUR support!

Here's how:

When you have determined that you will get a Colorado refund, use the "Voluntary Contributions" schedule to choose an eligible nonprofit. Taxpayers should look for the new additional option of "Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund" on that schedule and insert all three of the following:
  1. Nonprofit's name (in this case "Durango Arts Center")
  2. Nonprofit's Secretary of State CCSA Registration Number (not the EIN), which is 20023003003 for the DAC.
    •  Both name and number are required to efficiently and accurately make sure that the nonprofit the taxpayer intended gets the donation.
  3. Amount of donation

Create Art and Tea is first recipient of the Creative Loan Fund!

First Southwest Community Fund and the Durango Creative District are proud to announce the first recipient of the Creative Loan Fund (a new partnership between the two entities). Caprice Fox, owner of Create Art and Tea, was awarded $10,000 to go towards marketing for her shop, located at 802 E 2nd Avenue in the Durango Arts Center building. Caprice's business features 75+ artists and a selection of 30+ teas from around the world (some of which are special blends that she has created herself!).

The Durango Arts Center was chosen by
Girl Scout Troop 26242 as their Hometown Heroes!

The troop brought in 60 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and were taken on a tour of the DAC.  They got to meet Jason and see backstage and the dressing rooms with a sneak peak for Alice in Wonderland Jr.  They went up to the Education Studio and met up with Deena who let them roll some clay.  And they had some silly fun with Brenda in the dance studio.
