“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
—Psalm 133:1
Hello Church Family,
It’s been an interesting and challenging time for most of us as we’ve navigated what our new “normal” is beginning to look like with COVID-19 going on. We want to thank you for your calm, caring, and adapting attitude, and let you know about some upcoming announcements for our church fellowship.
Online Church Services - Sundays at 10am
Special Passover Demonstration on Easter - Sunday, April 12
- We want to encourage you to invite your friends to join us on Easter, April 12 at 10am online for a Special Messiah in the Passover demonstration. Trevor (Tuvia) Rubenstein will be our guest speaker and came to Christ after he heard the parable of the prodigal son and started reading the New Testament. That's when he finally understood that Jesus is the Messiah and that he could experience this kind of love only through knowing Jesus personally. Now Trevor works with Chosen People Ministries, sharing the message that Jesus is our Messiah and works to help Christians be equipped to reach Jews with the Gospel of Jesus.
- The Messiah in the Passover Presentation we will experience is a powerful visual message not only of Israel's freedom from slavery in Egypt, but of the redemption of individuals from the bondage of sin through the atoning work of Jesus. The program is designed to give participants a deeper understanding both of Passover and of the Communion table. Please also plan to have some juice and bread on-hand to participate in Communion if you are able to from home.
2020 Women's Retreat - May 1-3
- As of today the Women's Retreat is still on and will be at Lake Geneva Christian Conference Center in Alexandria. The dates are Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3. The theme for this year's retreat comes from The Book of Ruth as we read and study together about how our identity is in Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. If plans change Anna Molter will contact those ladies who have registered.
