National Health Information Strategy Webinar
Consumers Health Forum is hosting a webinar in partnership with the AIHW to raise consumer awareness about the National Health Information Strategy.
Hear what health analysts including ABC Health Report’s Dr Norman Swan and consumers have to say about NHIS. The strategy will cover vital issues including privacy, data access, cybersecurity and health status indicators with the central aim of improving Australia’s health system. Community leaders invited to be part of new project
ECLC is inviting leaders from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) communities in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne to take part in an exciting new Engaging Communities in Democracy project supported by the Parliament of Victoria.
This six-month pilot project aims to help CaLD communities understand Victorian parliamentary processes and support them to engage in law-making processes.

Become a leader in preventing violence against women in Chinese communities
Ames Australia are seeking socially engaged women and men from Chinese communities to undertake the Ames Australia leadership program aimed at the Prevention of Violence against women. Participants in the program will gain knowledge and skills in:
Understanding the causes of violence against women
Applying a primary prevention framework to stop violence before it occurs
Using a range of prevention strategies and approaches with Chinese communities
Successful public speaking and collaboration with the media
